My Skin Care Routine

Honestly, you don’t realize how important skin care is until you are 26, stressed out as hell and have one massive pimple sitting in the middle of your chin.

Which as I sit here and write this post… I do. This thing came out of no where. It is like the creature from the black lagoon. Not actually, but it is gross. I honestly don’t remember the last time I had a pimple like this and part of me thinks it could be some kind of bug bite. That I am mistaking for a pimple, that’s how big it is.

Now I of course have always taken care of my skin but I used to RELIGIOUSLY use mass amounts of make-up. I’m not kidding you, it was where I put my creativity. All that make up created clogged pores, dry skin and bad acne.

Pair that with teen age / young adult stress, and you have a winning combo. Woo!

I have found my LOVES through trial and error, though there are some items that I do love that aren’t in my every day routine. This is usually because of cost or availability. But that doesn’t mean I love them any less.

1) Ole Henriksen – Wonderfeel Cleanser
2) Thayers – Witch Hazel Toner
3) The Ordinary – Marine Hyaluronics
4) The Ordinary – Salicylic Acid
5) Neutrogena – Oil Free Acne Moisturizer
6) Garnier – Moisture Rescue SPF 15
7) Clinique – Mild Facial Cleanser
8) Mario Badescu – Hyaluronic Eye Cream
9) Mario Badescu – Drying Lotion

These are my absolute must have products and using them religiously has improved the over all texture and appearance of my skin!

I don’t have bad acne or scaring, but do get some digestive and hormonal acne. But these products paired together have been my go to for the last few months. I definitely couldn’t live without my Thayer’s toner!

Being an adult is hard, but sticking with your skin care routine is so important. Just from using my eye cream day and night I have noticed a drastic difference in the appearance of dark circles and bags under my eyes.

Which lets face it, are EVERYONES arch enemy.

I hope my routine can help you decide what skin care products are right for you!
